Hello, my niece was accepted last Feb. with a Trustee Scholarship (total of $84K over 4 years).She has not received the Financial Aid package yet (I believe it was submitted just before the Feb. 15 deadline). Has anyone received theirs yet? Her stats 3.9 GPA, top 3% in a class of just under 700, ACT 30/31. So far Purdue has been the most generous of all schools she has been accepted to but we’d like to see what Trinity’s financial package is before deciding. Thank you all.
@boydikoy -
Trinity has a very transparent merit system. If you go on their FA website, you can see the formulas (GPA/Standardized test score) that they use to determine merit aid. That does not tell you what need-based aid you might get, but it’s probably of some use to you.
My daughter’s merit aid was straight off of that formula.
My impression is that Trinity is both transparent and relatively generous compared to peer schools.
thanks @suburbancat - went to the Net Price Calculator and input some numbers. It it’s accurate, Trinity will be the most cost-effective school. We can’t wait for the official financial package to arrive, The one advantage of Purdue is that it’s only 2.5 hrs from Chicago where we’re from, so it will all boil down to the financial package to make it worth coming to Trinity.
