I'm waiting to hear from Trinity and really wonder what will happen. My stats: 2090 SAT, subj test = 740 lit. taking mathII this weekend. 3.9 uw GPA. all IB classes.
Would be interested in hearing from other applicants
and from current students as to what they think my chances are for a good scholarship.

My son has applied under ED II. He hasn't visited Trinity yet, but everything he has read seems to show that it would be a great fit.

Your stats look to be in scholarship territory, I'd think. I wish Trinity was a little more generous with the merit money, though.

DS is applying EAII. He should get in, but we won't be able to afford it unless the merit/FA is sufficient. We really liked when we visited, though! It's a very nice place. He's top 2%, 2240, but kind of lopsided, SAT II's 780 and 800.

Good luck to you both! It was hard getting all the apps done, but even more weird waiting. You sound awesome - hope your apps are in a different pile than mine :)

I'm also applying to Trinity EA II and I wonder how generous is Trinity to inte'l? I mean, they said they got large endowment and they guarantee to meet my full need (in the case I'm admitted!), but do you know how much one should contribute (cause I'm really tight with finance and they're not need-blind)? by the way, my SAT score is 1410/2080, Math IIC 800, Physics 750. Do you think I could get in with generous financial aid? Thanks in advance.

uhhmmm..SAT 2 is not required for Trinity. Just thought I should point that out. Besides, apparently, they DO have enough endowment for a lot of aid. (my two elder brothers are currently there). I am almost certain of my decision but not too certain how much aid I would get.

Good luck to you guys! Finals started tonight . . . my first one is tomorrow. A ton of people here are on scholarships, never fear--it's what attracts a lot of people to this school. I hope y'all come visit sometime! I'm friendly enough and I give good directions!

Did anyone get an acceptance today??

My S isn't home, so I can't read it, but he has received an e-mail with the subject as "Congratulations from Trinity University". He applied EA and was to be notified "by Dec. 15".

It's killing me to wait till he gets home to read it!
I'm wondering - if it is an acceptance - if there is financial aid info. also...
Did anyone else get an e-mail?

orjr,

my daughter was accepted. Email says packet w/onfo to arrive soon. congrats to your son!

Geez, congratulations!

i have not gotten the email!!! aaaah! when did you guys get it???????

Got it last night

ok that is a bad sign??

What should I do... I mean technically, they said december 15th.. but since you all have already gotten the mail, why havent I?

Should I email the school?

Yeah, I was really surprised to have gotten it last night- A week early of the supposed notification date. You should email the school to see why people received their notifications eary and some not.

Give it time! And check your bulk mail or spam mailbox. Sometimes the college messages end up in the junk mail file.

ok... I have checked the spam/junk mail. I might just wait till friday, since that is the official date. Thanks for the advice.

OK i emailed the school (anxiety!) and they informed me that they will definitely email y decision by December 15th, this friday.

I am guessing it is different for internationals(me). Maybe they are trying to decide on my fin. aid ( ).

ok! just joined the anxiety realm too.... And although am applying for EAII - I was wondering if there might still be scholarship opportuinities for that application.

And yeah, SAT 2 isn't required for trinity scholars so i am quite curious on wether taking the test makes a difference or not?

tuoyo00...lol (this is a friend of mine so i can afford to laugh)

there will definitely be scholarship opportunities for the EA II applicants. as u have probably read through the previous posts, Trinity is highly endowed and therefore is able to offer scholarships to a bunch of well qualified candidates.

SAT2 is NOT required for Trinity for scholarship opportunities. I suggest you read over the requirements in the Trinity University website.

Goodluck in your applicaions!

I got my acceptance letter today. NO mention of merit aid. #$*%&!!!
