2022 Columbia Combined Plan Admission / Discussions

Any idea when decisions drop?

No clue. Given other years I would assume sometime this week.

I am afraid it might not be the case. Based on ā€˜researchā€™ I have done, it seems that it usually is the third Thursday in April - which would really suck this year if it were the case. Also, in the past, they would send an email a day in advance informing the applicants that they will receive the decision tomorrow.

That would really suck. But 2020 results were released on the 13th, which was a Monday. So maybe not?

True. But then again, that was the first COVID year. I would love to be wrong about this and get the decision today, though!

I hope so!! I canā€™t wait any longer :sob:

what type of engineering did you apply for?

Iā€™m doing Chemical

Hey everyone, Iā€™m a Davidson College (an affiliate school) student. Iā€™m applying for Operations Research. I think we might not get the result on Friday (tomorrow) because I found the decision date is at least 3 days later than that of the previous year, according to the dates in the past three years. Because of the holistic review process for all candidates, I believe this year will take them longer. I think itā€™s no earlier than next Monday.

DECISIONS WILL BE RELEASED TOMORROW!!! Check the portal.

Fingers crossed everyone!

Honestly, I donā€™t look forward to it because I think I will be waitlisted. I wonā€™t finish my General Chemistry until the end of this semester. I donā€™t have enough non-technical electives either, although I finished the graduation requirement for Davidson College. They have substantial reason to put me on the waitlist, which is the worst situation for meā€¦ Iā€™m feeling really unwell nowā€¦

My application essays are bs too. They have good reason to put me on the waitlist if not a rejectionā€¦

We got this! I wish all of you the best of lucks.

I really wanted to do Computer Engineering but I didnā€™t take Electrical at my college, so I applied for CS. Plus, I am thinking about adding an Applied Math minor. If the news is good, of course.

Good luck!

Hi everyone, howā€™s the result??

Waitlisted. I have no idea why. I was comparing with the rest of the people from my school and they all had worse grades than I did, and less extracurriculars. They all got in but me. The only difference is I am an international student.

I got accepted. I applied for operation research from an affiliated school.

thatā€™s weirdā€¦Did you complete all the requirements? I heard that some people got waitlisted because they are finishing some prerequisites up in the spring semester. Also, if you donā€™t mind, what are the grades for you and other people in your school? Because if you are significantly higher than it doesnā€™t really make sense.
