No surprise here… Schreyer can’t post D’s decision because still awaiting admissions decision.
Did anyone get their decision ?
My daughter and her friend both didn’t get in.
My D got in and she also has the Provost scholarship so we are 100% PSU bound.
Where was the decision posted??

Has anyone else had a conflict w/congratulations - Accepted and then waitlisted after registering?
Hello, is there any follow up on this? I’m afraid the same will happen if I register…I wonder if this was a one-case occurrence or if the admissions office made any mistakes with the decisions.
My D did not have that conflict. She accepted the offer with no issues.
SO ours popped up and said “congratulations” I clicked on accept offer and was able to register through to 1.5 hour sessions. After that my son received two emails, one saying he’s waitlisted and one saying congratulations, your registered?
@amomoffour - I just asked my D. She clicked on the green accept button and got an email welcoming her to the Honors college. The email had links to a bunch of different things. Not sure from there. Did you click on the Mar/Apr reception and get an email about waitlisted?
@cotton2017 basically, he got email saying waitlist and an email saying congratulations

Sat doesn’t matter. Weighted GPA doesn’t count only unweighted. Choice of APs matters. A’s in honors/AP classes matter. But most of all, essay quality matters most.
@MYOS1634 Your weighted GPA does matter. And they do see the SAT scores.
AFAIK no they don’t see the sat score nor weighted gpa for Schreyer (they do for Regular PSU). They look at the list of courses (how intellectually relevant, creative, ambitious they are) including level and grades received (A or not). For Schreyer you’re not in the “B in honors is better than A in regular” situation.
Professors who teach the honors seminars - not adcoms - read the essays and determine whether the student sounds like they’d be a good addition to their seminar on terms of critical thinking and knowledge, whether they’d want that student in their class.

@amomoffour @MYOS1634 I agree with both of you.
Weighted GPA - as a number does not matter. What matters is the components that make up that weighted GPA.
They don’t look at the number per se. Instead, they do a deep dive transcript review to see if you are taking rigorous classes.
@lucyvanpelt Yep. My son graduated Schreyer’s last year. My son applied this year. I’m no expert but the experience from past 4 years. It’s much more than one item.
Yes, that’s what I was trying to convey too
can anyone confirm the class sizes for a Scheyer Honors Student?
