it went great! my daughter went without me…she is on a gap year and is super independent. she said there were 20 in her dance call but there may have been a second dance call

Yes, my son auditioned last weekend and was invited for in person audition;)
for MT!
In fall 2019 at boco there were many people at the parent session. Highly recommend. The presentation is excellent and ends with a panel of current students. My child attends there now and I remembered stuff from that session even this year that I refer too. Kids are auditioning in the same building but on diff floors

My daughter auditioned on Friday and had a terrific experience at BoCo, but all of the info sessions were canceled.Parents were not allowed in the building except to drop off. I suspect they will have an online session or things will change when the COVID surge eases up a bit.

Last year D submitted a digital audition to MMC on December 1st and she didn’t receive results until March 22. I think they do rolling decisions, but prioritize sending out decisions to those who did virtual auditions (meaning they had a zoom audition instead of just submitting material).

re: BoCo - my daughter loves it and loves Boston. She’s grown so much and it’s a very competitive (in a good way - everyone is so talented!) and supportive environment. She is MT but lives with 2 dancers and they all go to each others’ performances. They are forging ahead with in-person classes this semester, testing every few days, current vaccine required.

We did not do the parent session @BoCo during the audition phase, but did one after acceptance. Confirming they do a great job with parents and attend everything you can!

My ds is MT at Boco and absolutely loves it. Also worth mentioning you can take music courses at Berklee (merger) which is world renown- if you are a musician as well.

Received an email from Hartt today but it wasn’t entirely clear. We had asked to be considered for actor training if MT was not accepted and they said they would update her file. However, the email we received today said that they could not offer D a callback audition at this time but would place her on the MT waitlist. We’re not sure if that means for a later possible audition or for final decision. Also, there was no mention of actor training. D emailed back to try to get some clarification.

We got the same email. If they aren’t being called back, how are they being put on a waitlist for notification on May 1st?

That was my confusion as well.
It’s an audition waitlist. If someone cancels their audition, you might get in… to audition…
I found this to be more depressing than a “no” last year…

So we could be called to audition as late as May 1? That’s when her deposits would be due at other schools. Oof.
