The thing is though, one of my friends called the office and asked and they actually said yes....or maybe it's just for our school...Stanford doesn't seem to like it.

we're too asian and nerdy for them :(

so not fair.

dang, I totally would have guessed COD4 if I hadn't actually been playing COD4 for half the night. Man, that game is addicting.

some one from my high school got in last year and was the first one in years
what does that do for my chances?

Um, no one from my school has ever even applied to Stanford, according to school guidance records. For sure no one has ever attended.

So like, after rereading one part of the supplement, I'm pretty much sure I'm not going to get in. I just hope I will get deferral, because there have been situational developments that I really wish I could have included in the app.

Curses, CC! I am supposed to be studying for a Bio test!

Ervial08, maybe you kind of give them an interst because they've never had anyone from your school. No one has ever applied from my school, so that's what I'm hoping for...

I remember my GC from freshmen year (she moved to adminstration the next year) told me to transfer when I suggested the goal of attending Stanford one day.

By the way, with regards to quotas, I think Stanford admitted 39 students from MA last year. Phillips Academy shows 11 to Stanford for matriculation of 2007

Oh my gosh 2 days!! I'm so frazzled right now x_X

cjjc,
True, but the vast majority of students at P.A. are from out of Mass and I believe would be counted as a resident of their home state.

cjjc,

Where did you get your statistics? How do you know how many from a particular school got in? Thanks

2 days, 0 hours, 39 minutes and 23 seconds until Friday, December 14

some kid didn't come to school today because she was depressed at her columbia result

We were all wrong. Stanford just updated its site

"The Office of Undergraduate Admission will mail and email decision letters to applicants who have applied for admission under Stanford’s Restrictive Early Action process on Friday, December 14, 2007. Decision letters and emails will be sent after 3pm (Pacific Time). Decisions will not be available anywhere on our website, in person or by phone."

Applying to Stanford | Decision Notification

Now everything's up in the air

guitars101, I got PA's matriculation numbers on PA's website.

DaFunk, I see your point.

There you guys have it
Starting 3 PST, 6 EST
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It finally hit me. These should be the most nerve-wracking days of my young adult life.

I was only an hour off...that's not bad!

And now, I'm thinking I'll probably have a snow day. So I'll have the entire day before Stanford decisions to generally just sit around and freak out. Wonderful. Although that won't nearly compare to Friday...that will be an AGONIZING wait.

haha. I actually knew that like a week ago. My friend at Stanford said that I'd hear by e-mail at 6:00ish on Friday. (eastern standard time of course) um... sorry for not letting you guys know? It wasn't official or anything.

also... I saw a cardinal outside the window of my English class today. Is it a sign?

^Hindsight is 20/20 haha.

Crut,

It's a good luck sign only if it didn't fly off. If it did, that means it left you behind.

The only thing is, Stanford's Cardinal means the color, not the bird. Perhaps it means something, perhaps it doesn't.
