Um i dont know if my ethnicity hurt/helped me i really dont think so either way

just goes to show that SAT scores aren't everything...they just get you in the door. ECs and stuff matter just as much.

And it's really rude to say that someone got in just because they're not white. I'm a girl and I got into MIT and everyone always says that I got in because I'm a girl. It bothers me so much.

yeah it's as if people are always looking for some explanation as to why someone got in who doesnt fit the typical score/gpa range

AA doesnt really help asians Rabidchickens

@cm8333 Wow congratulations! I’m just curious because I would like to get into UCLA or UCSD.
I was born in Korea and I’m a junior in IB Program. My GPA is 3.8 (unweighted) and I got 2110 on the November 2014 test.
Last year, I took AP Chem (B/1), AP Calculus AB (A/3), Art History AP (A/3), and Human Geography AP (A,4) (The grade/ AP Score). I scored 790 in the Korean SAT II Subject test. I’ve been volunteering at a local hospital for about 230 hours and I’ve been volunteering at my church for about 3 years. I was in JV Tennis in Freshman year, Varsity Tennis in Sophomore and I am planning to be in Varsity again this year. I am the IB 2016 Class President. Also I’m in CSF, NHS, and Key Club.
Are these suitable for getting accepted into UC colleges? (Especially UCLA and UCSD)

^Look at the date before bumping next time

I’ll just answer anyway but whatever you do, don’t send scores below 3. if you show a one, it looks as bad as a c or d on a transcript. otherwise you are in the score range. Ucsd is actually pretty nice about accepting (at least from the people I’ve heard get it). but it Is a match at best. don’t expect to get in 100 percent
