213 on PSAT as sophmore...should I be worried?

Damn, Predator, we seem to be pretty similar :)

I'm a junior, also a year young for my grade. I live in Irving and go to school in Dallas. Last year, I got a 204, but I got a 235 this year. Don't sweat it.

Same here, Predator (about being a year younger for having skipped a grade). I received a lower score than you did on my PSAT as a sophomore (210) and received a 238 on the PSAT this year (the highest score in my school) and a 2370 on the SAT after missing only 1 question. What made the difference? MONTHS of studying 4-5 hours/day. It's grueling, but if you want it bad enough...

I got like 190 as a sophomore and 227 as a junior. Youre way ahead of schedule. I really hope this isn't a brag post.

It seems like it is.

Yeah i need to get a good start on english. How do you recommend I study?

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

read books?

no offense or anything but people like you really annoy me. Barely anyone gets your score as a junior as a senior, you got it as a sophmore....do YOU think you should be worried?

Go play with your friends and stop worrying about this.

^^^^^^^^^ i agree

I can't believe you are patronizing someone for wanting to improve.

It's not a question of "wanting to improve"; it's a question of obsessing over something insignificant.

patronizing someone for wanting to improve? ...ppl like him/her really **** me off.....get a freaking life!

someone who really wants to improve is not gonna ask if they should be "worried" about a 213 as a SOPHMORE, thats a good score even for a junior...and then she goes on to tell us she skipped a grade...OP, if you wanna show off this isn't the place to do it, ok? If you want some praise go ask your parents...

....and she doesn't even know what HYPM is

i think its a troll

Yea, I agree with you.

213 is a good score for a sophomore, but it's not REALLY REALLY great. I doubt a troll would post such polite replies and ask how to improve in the English sections...and just because someone doesn't know the acronym "HYPM" doesn't mean he's a troll. I didn't know what it was until I started reading CC.

There are many perfectionists out there...don't be rude just because they're more ambitious than you are.

well arti...you are probably just like her then

what you nerds need is some booze and socialization to get your minds off obsessing things like this

being concerned is one thing, but obsessing just isn't healthy

You know, I don't appreciate you calling me names. And I don't think Predator is obsessing at all. Countless people with decent scores have asked how to improve them...

Like I said, I got a 214 as a sophomore and a 232 as a junior. In no way would I consider that "not REALLY REALLY great". (Not bragging; I don't qualify for NMS as an int'l, so it's a moot point.) I prepped some, but not that much. The vast majority of people improve, sometimes significantly, without prepping at all. Just familiarize yourself with the format of the test and you'll be more than fine. Seriously, DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.

Whatever, I still say as long as it's not interfering with your life keeping you awake at night, more power to you if you're studying. I agree it's not a mandatory thing to do, but it shouldn't necessarily be discouraged.

arti...i feel very sorry for you if you think life is all about sleeping and studying

you really are a very deprived child

threads like this are perfect examples of how cc warps your mind :/
