Just from how a sophomore naturally progresses after that test and up to the junior PSAT, how much can one expect (on an average) to improve on this score?

On average, -3.

false

i scored a 216 sophomore year, moved up to 227 junior year, then got a 2390 SAT1. there is no prediction.

Generally, it increases, but you never know. I got 222 soph, then 214 junior year, then 2390. Sorry if mine seems like I'm flaunting, YourMaster, but I just want to show that it doesn't necessarily work in regular increases.

i had always heard the PSAT was harder than the SAT so people usually score higher...I am not incredible like the past posters, but I scored a 1200 on PSAT back in tha day and 1350 on first SAT take.

bloodandiron: if you are smart enough to get a 217 when you are a sophomore then surely you are smart enough to know that how much you improve depend on the person. asking "how much can one expect (on an average) to improve on this score" is useless and stupid.

i agree with YourMaster, stop trying to flaunt yourself. can't stand people like that, and makes you look like an ass.

This is an idiotic post. If you're truly serious, you didn't deserve that 217. And it's not that great a score to flaunt anyway; and yes, you are intentionally flaunting.

Annoyyyyying post...maybe if you were asking about the SATs it would be a little less bs, but nope...

Sophomore PSAT: 214
Junior PSAT: 232
SAT I: 2270

Most people I know scored higher on the SAT than on the PSAT, though. I don't think there's any real correlation.

Where's the edit button when you need it?

Goes away after 15 minutes. Must have been those "hippy liberals in CA" who invented that eh blood?

lol look who needs to calm down now? I love seeing these reactions sometimes, although with regards to AP it's partly an expression of my initial frustration that CB doesn't send scores to NY first....Maybe they're afraid of THUG LIFE perhaps?
