I got a 800 on reading, 740 on Math, and a 630 on writing. I think I’d like to retake it to get that writing up. However, as I’d like to apply to Georgetown and perhaps some ivys, I’m wondering what the consequences are for retaking it.
Thanks

Math+CR is typically what matters most, so you’d be fine in that area. However, that 630 does raise unwanted questions/concerns, as does the 2170, which doesn’t quite reach that 2200+ stereotypical mark for high-caliber schools. If I were you, I’d probably retake just to bring that Writing score up. And even if your other scores slightly decrease (but your Writing score increases), you always have the superscore option to fall back on at a couple of those schools.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
