2200 SAT/2.8 GPA w upward trend

Ugh, this is so stressful. Does it look bad to have a low GPA with 2200 sat?

A little background:

Class Ranking: 309 out of 764
Cumulative GPA: 2.8
Academic Core GPA: 2.9
Weighted Cumulative GPA: 3.6

That’s at the end of my sophomore year. I really messed up due to health problems but so far I have all a’s and b’s in my 3 AP classes and 2 honors classes. I already have an upward trend but it is going to continue. Oh, and I have a failing grade in those GPA’s which I’m in the process of retaking to replace it.
I’ve been taking sat practice tests, breaking 700’s on all 3 categories and I’m projected to be a national merit semifinalist.
My essays will be great, but I don’t really have extracurriculars, just volunteer hours.
My school is VERY competitive, I think we are # 208 nationally ranked by Newsweek?
I want to go into the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics at Syracuse University for social work as my first choice, I’d like to apply early decision but I’m also interested in (I live in Florida so that’s why there’s FL schools):

American U
Boston U
Drexel U
Florida SU
Fordham U
George Washington U
Loyola U Chicago
Marist C
Northeastern U
U Central Florida

Chance me?
thank you SO much.

To be honest, I don’t think an outstanding SAT will overpower a very low GPA.
Also, you need to become more involved in extracurriculars, colleges are demanding it nowadays.
How many volunteer hours will you have by the time you graduate do you think?

If you can get your GPA to around a 3.5+ you’d have a good shot at George Washington, Marist, Boston U and American U. Northeastern will definitely be a reach.
Not too sure about the other ones though, sorry!

I thought NEU was about as hard getting into as BU… These two are fine to have as reaches but they are just that: reaches. At 3.4+ they aren’t reaches anymore, as long as you get ECs with focus.

And GWU is a reach until 3.3, and, if you got above 3.6, GWU becomes a place where they can tuft you (i.e. waitlist or reject you for no apparent reason)

Loyola Chicago: Safety at 3.1
Drexel: Safety at 3.1
UCF: Safety at 3.1
FSU: Safety at 3.4
Fordham: Safety at 3.4
