Long story short, which is better? I know they are both good scores, but which one would you rather have?
Both are single sitting.

The scores belong to myself and a friend, so you could say that this is a battle of honor. And/or life and death.

Great Scores. Keep it up. SAT 2290 = ACT 35, according to http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/estimate.html. That means use the SAT score.

SAT2290 is about the high end of 34. Nevertheless, each school have a different conversion chart. Also, it is critical in how the section scores are distributed. It is hard to tell if SAT 2290 or ACT 34 is better otherwise. They match up pretty well.
