Fairly strong in math. I understand the CR/writing section patterns. Studied for the SAT by myself, and only missed 2400 by 3 questions (2-math, 1 W).

Would you pay me?

I would pay you to take the test for me.I pay 1$ per point ;} get me a 2400 and i will pay you 2400$ :}

Lol I only got a 2220 (800 M, 710 CR, and 710 W) and I get paid 45$ an hour to tutor 2 separate students twice a week. Surprisingly, I have already seen improvements in the both of them since they took the January SAT. One has moved from around a 1220 from January to an almost 1400 on the last 2 practice tests (Improved math significantly) and the other student started with around a 1360 on the January test and is now in the mid 1400 range (CR was her weaknesses so we went over tons of vocabulary because she used to basically never read)

Did you take a course on how to teach? Like Kaplan does with its tutors? Or did you just use your knowledge?

I just use the strategies that I learned on my own to improve my scores. I have been tutoring students in school math for a long time so that's the easiest case to improve a student's SAT score for me. I went from a 570 to a 710 on the CR by just trying various methods and I use those same methods with the girl that I tutor. I was thinking about working for Kaplan over the summer but I feel that tutoring the way I do produces better results. I think sometimes I'm lucky that I wasn't naturally good at the CR or Writing sections like you probably were just because I now know how much work was required to pull myself up to my current scores so it makes it easier for me to understand what my students are going through. But trust me, there are always students looking for help on the SAT so you shouldn't have any problems finding a tutoring job. Plus with your scores, it should be just that much easier for you to convince a parent that you will produce results, which I am sure that you will. Good Luck!
