I work at a supermarket roughly 20 hours per week. Have worked pretty steadily throughout high school. Some summers only, but average 15-20 hours per week for the most part.

Raised by single dad all my life. Pretty quiet and reserved; not too outgoing; good musician, too.

I applied ED to Univ. of Penn. College of Arts and Sciences. What do you think my chances are? Where else would be good to apply?

Thanks!

I had similar stats to you and got in ED to Penn CAS (and I've been loving it!!)

My GPA was worse than yours but my SAT was 2370. Go for it!

Oh, you think that's too low. I was hoping that since it's close to the top one percent, it would be okay. You don't think so, though? Do they only take top 5 in a class or something like that?

ilovebagels,

Did you have similar ec's and such? I don't really think I have what people refer to as a "hook." Although when I went to an "Exploring College Options" presentation with Duke, Harvard, Georgetown, Penn, and Stanford, the lady from Penn said that they LOVE the Governor's School. I wonder if that and the National Merit and the other stuff combined will do it, or am I still missing that certain something that they look for???

Average SAT for those accepted into CAS is 2100. Relax about that score, you're fine.

shut up about the low SAT's, i honestly don't believe that you are anxious about having a 2320, i think this is an indirect way for you to brag about it. Your scores are well above the average so they should be the least of your worries

Not a 2400?

Get off my planet.

not a 2500?

Get outta my galaxy!

and i totally agree with Effrum...its just bragging

Thanks for the great input.

another ridiculous thread

Seriously though, your stats are fine...dont worry about 'em

to the OP, avoid creating those kind of threat titles, they're obnoxious and will deflect people away from helping you
