just had a quick question:

are there any buildings or anything that are open for 24 hours where you can always study (with the exception of night powell since its next to impossible to get a seat)?

It's pretty frustrating because i know at other campuses, most of their lab facilities are open 24 hours (computer labs) but over here we have some of the worst hours i've ever seen.

Other than night powell, your best bet in finding a place to study 24 hrs. is a lounge in one of the dorms. If you can’t access one b/c you don’t live in one then try sneaking in by hang out near the doors until someone opens it. I used to study all night in whichever dorm lounge when I’ve lived in Delta Terrace.

you still have to swipe into the study lounge

at least in rieber vista

doesn’t everyone have access as long as you have bruincard?

No, access to certain dorms and other facilities, i.e. cafeterias, are programmed into your bruincard if you live in a dorm. Also, some dorms, like Rieber Hall, have a lounge on the floor level which might be easier to access without having a working bruincard.

to swipe in you must enter a code as well as swipe your bruin card, so maybe if you know someone in the dorm that will trust you with their code…

I think needing a code to swipe into a dorm lounge is only true of ones on the upper levels of certain dorms, like Rieber Vista. I used to study on the floor level lounges of Rieber Hall and Rieber Vista w/o knowing any access codes. During finals there is usually at least one person in there anyways, so you can ask to be let in and claim you forgot your bruincard.
