lol ^. lemme guess? you got a 2 on the essay because you wrote it like the nascissistic prick that you are. Good job wit the 1530.. thats impressive.

"Well that is it, my Mother always told me, 'when ever you have to do something, be #1'. Haha im pretty sure everyone's mother said that"

my mom never said that...but i would assume that is the motto of many CC parents

Wow PRISM, nice job upping your scores in M/V.

Writing doesn't really matter as much anyway. A score in the 500s is bad compared to your other scores, but if you write good college essays and perform well on English APs or in English classes, you should be all right...but yeah, colleges will be like "lolwut?"

and yeah I don't think that's a mistake...a score in the 500s isn't far away from a 630.

yeah jimbob's right...

how did you get a 500 range writing score but such high math and cr scores?

baffling.

Yeah, that is kinda weird. Surely after reading as much as you'd have to get into the 700s in CR, you'd have those grammar rules down!

How much does it cost to get it checked? and do you get refunded if there was a mistake?

nice job, those are big improvements, and good luck with the hand scoring thing for the writing, hopefully i can get those kind of improvements

woohoo!

2100 in October! :P Lol.

i feel like preparing for the SAT is immoral...especially through tutors...it gives another unfair advantage to the wealthy...aren't the SATs supposed to be a way to compare students without the issue of economic class and oppurtunity?
maybe i am just biased...i didnt study or practice for the SAT at all and i recieved a 2210...
[/quote]

People aren't all smart like you, man. Less than 1% can not study and get your score. You see, there are people that run around making high scores. Do you expect people to just not practice/study and not improve their chances? Some people do it, and it just encourages other people--to keep them above the pack.

I probably would have made a 2040 (PSAT prediction) if I didn't study for the SAT . . . . but studying gave me an increase of over 200. The way I see it--if I spent the hours working and practicing, I deserve to reap the benefits.

Whoever wrote that quote is right.
And yes murasaki, we should expect people to not practice and not study for the SATs to improve their chances. The SAT is supposed to measure your scholastic aptitude and basically how smart you are. A dumb person can get a high score on the SATs by studying their butt off, and colleges will think they're
smart. GPA and ExtraC's measure how hard you work.
And its also true that the poor has a disadvantage on the test if they can't afford the necessary materials to study for it, or even as much of the material as another gets. Someone can study SAT critical reading and SAT math and still suck at reading and math.
In fact, a lot of top colleges and SAT tutors say that the SAT sucks and is unfair.

"keeping someone above the pack.." No, not if they're not inherently intelligent, which is what SATs measures.

I kind of view studying for the SAT as studying a cheatsheet for a school test

urghh
800 math
720 verbal
620 writing
see the downward trend?
T_T

the only thing keeping me from a possible 2100+ score is math.

i can't even get passed 650...

Listen to Naruto music if you want to get motivated. I just hacked into the SAT online course moooooohahahahahaha. We can do it.

Nothing like ninja music to get a sense of motivation going.

^_^

GOOD LUCK!

Lol. ^ Naruto sucks.

What's the blue book? I wanna do well!

All good Protestant SAT-ists stick to the Holy Scriptures of the SAT....the blue book.

sai2004 - I second that thought - Naruto sucks donkeyballs.

PRiSM92289, what are your tips for the SAT?

i think i will start my own e-journal in preparation for the oct 14 sat
