2400 Scorers...

Can we try to get the number of CC members who achieved perfect 2400 scores on the May 2009 examination? I would be interested to know that number.

I'll start: me!

By the way, I really didn't mean to create this thread simply to boast.

Thanks!

I got one too. I think there are five or six of us - kind of uncanny.

The may 2009 exam was deadly hard in the english section. I think that SAT is one of the few that not many people at all got good scores on.

Haven’t you posted this repeatedly?
I congratulate you on your score, but one thread would have sufficed, let alone the numerous threads that you posted.

112358 got a 2400? I was rooting for you!
Congrats =)

wait, how on earth do you do that???
You guys are way to smart.
are you just good at taking standardized tests, or had you studied so much that you knew how to beat the system?

Ah, wow. Thanks for sharing that post

Wow… more people got 2400 than 2390 XD

Thanks zap :)

soadquake981 - because if you miss one question, the curve is more likely to bring you down to 2380. You’ll find that 790s are quite rare.

March SAT Math curve was -1=790. I think May’s might’ve been harsher.

I’m pretty sure May was -1=800.

@112358 - I saw your post in the other forum. Which math question do you think you got wrong?

Haha it was a really easy one. It involved finding the combined area of two triangles. I was worrying about another question at the moment and instead of solving for the height of the second triangle I stupidly just multiplied two of the sides together.

I did have an experimental math section, but I’m pretty sure that question was in one of the sections that counted.

You had the experimental math too? So did you have the question about the letter “e” being the most common in the English alphabet? That question was so dumb…

Nope, I must have had a different section. But that triangle question wasn’t experimental, was it?

It was the question with the two right triangles, right? One 3-4-5 and one 5-12-13?

Yeah, it was that one. I just multiplied .5 x 12 x 13 for the second one :p
