I can't speak to the overall quality of the source, Campus Splash, or the methodology used to create the list, but there are some great blogs listed. My goal isn't to promote the validity of the list, only offer a link to some great blogs.

The 25 Best Admissions Office Blogs of 2011 | CampusSplash - College News and Tips.

NOTE: Sorry, I intended to post this in the parents forum. Dean J's "Notes at Peabody" is one of the great blogs listed. :)

Hey Blueigunana!

I’m one of the editors of CS, thanks for the mention of our Top 25 list! The methodology is pretty straightforward, we read a TON of these type of blogs, and these are the ones we love and think aren’t just PR office garbage.

DM if you have any questions :]!

Allen

I mean how can’t Notes from Peabody be in the top 25 - there are pictures of Cavdog. But on a more serious note, I feel like the blog is so affective because Dean J gives it a personal feel. She knows the pressure we’re under and tries her best (and succeeds in my opinion) to calm us down. I’m sure a lot of people don’t know about admissions blogs and thus miss out on the wealth of information they have to offer. Without the blog, I’m sure the admissions office would get a TON more phone calls each day so in reality, it is a win-win.
