<p>I am sorry to notify you that after reviewing your application thoroughly, our selection committee is unable to offer you admission to the University of Pennsylvania’s Class of 2014. All aspects of your application, the academic and the co-curricular, were carefully considered.</p>
<p>Perhaps the most difficult part of my job is disappointing thousands of students, whose accomplishments are exciting and whose futures are promising. Most of our applicants are qualified to successfully pursue the rigorous program of study at Penn. However, because of the large number of outstanding applicants, we can admit only a relatively small percentage of those seeking admission.</p>

While we are clearly impressed by your accomplishments, we must be cautious with the limited number of spaces Penn has available. Because we want to give your candidacy the fullest consideration, we ask that you send us a mid-year report of your first semester grades."</p>

I wanted this SO badly, but I guess it just wasn’t enough.</p>
<p>Deferral is almost worse than rejection, I am going to try as hard as I can to get in. I will do ANYTHING.</p>
