Hey guys... can you believe all of us EDers will have received are decisions in less than 25 days!

That's sooo soon. And yet, I have a feeling these next 25 days are going to go by so slowly, lol. I only applied a couple of weeks ago (on Nov. 1) and it feels like I applied months ago.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. It’s just that I’m TRYING (and failing lol) NOT to be constantly counting down the days–because I feel it will only make it feel longer. A watched pot never boils.

But if you want to start a countdown, I’m sure I’ll post on the thread ha.

I’m confused though because they always write a short letter that I thought was delivered in an email (and then also mailed)… when we log in on the 11th will that letter just automatically pop up? Do you think there will be a new button or something where we click for our decision?

I sure I am going to be going crazy all day until 3 on the 11th freaking out, ha!

haha its 4 am on the 12/12 for me!!
(singapore time)
i feel like i have to wait longer than you guys … even though its definitely the same amount of time hahah

Im only waiting for nov sat scores :S hopefully they went alright, im pretty sure math was an 800, but bio i hope went well. This is so nerve wracking i really wanna go to penn. Gl to u guys tho

Hey just curious, does Penn care much about your fall term grades senior year for ED? Or are they really going to have a decision before they even see your fall term grades?

You should really try to do well. They WILL see your grades and likely they will affect your application. Plus, say you get deferred, your first semester grades will then certainly be considered for Penn RD and for all of your other RD schools. It’s your spring semester that you don’t have to worry about much. Schools shouldn’t see those grades until after notifying applicants of admissions decisions–of course, you can always have admission rescinded if you really F up… ha… but it’s unlikely to happen if you perform decently.

Good luck! Are you worried about any fall grades?

Oh! And technically, we have a little under 24 days because it is after 3, lol.

Yeah worried about a few grades. I’m on the border of a B+/A- after this AP chem exam, so it’s really up to the teacher to decide whether or not i walk away this term with the A- or the ugly B+.

Same goes for MVC AND AP Art history. That’s 3 classes that i could get a B+ in instead of an A-…which would really **** me off.

I’m concerned because when I log into the Penn Portal, it still indicated outstanding items and I know those items were set in time for the ED deadline. I called the admissions office and they told me not to worry, to keep checking, and that the portal is not always updated quickly … but I’m still worried that the items are actually outstanding because they were lost/never received! Has anyone else had a similar experience? (I am planning to call again this week to see if they can give me a more definite answer about what they have on file).

The office has posted on the website and told several people that PENN will contact you if anything is missing and that applicants should just continue to wait. They said even if something wasn’t received, this will not adversely affect your application. I suggest not calling next week. The office is probably swamped will calls from anxious students.

A few of my materials have not yet been received, and the same goes for some of my friends. I suggest not worrying about it and focusing on other things.

i met with an admissions counselor yesterday and she said they don’t even start decisions until AFTER thanksgiving weekend. so if its creeping close to 24th and penn portal is still missing items, THEN call or email. but i’m pretty sure penn will contact your school or you for any missing documents and they won’t hold it against you.
