250 word essay, is it ok if you go 10-20 words over?

for the unc short essay, it says “Please limit your answer to approximately 250 words.” Is it ok if i go like 10-20 words over? or can i ABSOLUTELY not go over the limit?

<p>its fine if u go over even 50 words as long as it preserves flow and keeps the adcom interested...no ones gonna count your words...</p>
