Volunteered for the McCain campaign over the summer and will continue to do so this fall, but the hours I work can't be counted as service hours.

Also, I have a recommendation letter that I'm submitting to the University of Virginia from an instructor at this program who attended UVA. He works for the State Department and works in Latvia. Maybe this will give me an edge.

Obviously math isn't my strongest subject, but I hope colleges will cut me some slack because my intended major is political science, not mathematics or science...

Pre-Calculus Honors
Physics Honors
Media Production II

*My school is a small private school with limited funding. It's a very good school academically (college preparatory), but it offers very few AP courses (3 I think), so I've tried to take advantage of most of the Dual Enrollment courses which I consider just as difficult as A courses. Also, at my school, Theology is a required course all 4 years, so that also limits the amount of academic courses I can take.

*My school is EXTREMELY competitive. We have a 100 % college acceptance rate at my school and there's a lot of pressure to do well.

My brother-in-law graduated from the UVA School of Business.

I've already been accepted to the following schools:

Texas A&M University
University of Mississippi
University of Alabama
University of Oklahoma
University of Georgia
Penn State University
Southern Methodist University
Baylor University
University of South Carolina

Hopefully that gives ya'll an idea about what schools I'm capable of getting into.
Thanks!

Please put the word "chance" in your title ( you can use the edit button to do this). I don't read chance threads and flew in here in a hurry to assure you that we did not get 29,500 applications. I imagine that was just an attempt to get people to open the thread.

Lol, Dean J, they were obviously trying to attract chances.

I just fell for the trap.

me too. Doh!

sorry. the correct figure is 21,500.

i think your chances are fair- sats kind of low for UVA

Folks, he posts chance threads constantly. I'm not sure we need to keep this one at the top of the page.

Oh, how I wish all chance threads where in the chance forum.

why are people regulating online chance forums?

too much free time...

Dean J works for UVA dude, it's probably not in your best interest to condescend.
