Volunteered for the McCain campaign over the summer and will continue to do so this fall, but the hours I work can't be counted as service hours.
*I want to major in political science so I'm trying to make an effort to show that I'm doing what I'm passionate about.

*School nominee and nominated to be the Republican Minority Leader during mock Senate sessions. Again, I'm trying to show that I'm making an effort to pursue what I'm passionate about.

Also, I have a recommendation letter that I'm submitting to the University of Virginia from an instructor at this program who attended UVA. He works for the State Department and works in Latvia. Maybe this will give me an edge.

^SUBMITTING MY SENIOR, MID-YEAR GRADES TO UT AND UVA, WHICH IS REQUIRED.

Obviously math isn't my strongest subject, but I hope colleges will cut me some slack because my intended major is political science, not mathematics or science...

2nd semester:
Pre-Calculus Honors
Physics Honors
Media Production II
Economics Honors
Dual Enrollment English
Dual Enrollment Spanish
Theology

*My school is a small private school with limited funding. It's a very good school academically (college preparatory), but it offers very few AP courses (3 I think), so I've tried to take advantage of most of the Dual Enrollment courses which I consider just as difficult as A courses. Also, at my school, Theology is a required course all 4 years, so that also limits the amount of academic courses I can take.

*My school is EXTREMELY competitive. We have a 100 % college acceptance rate at my school and there's a lot of pressure to do well.

My brother-in-law graduated from the UVA School of Business.

I've already been accepted to the following schools:

Texas A&M University
University of Mississippi
University of Alabama
University of Oklahoma
University of Georgia
Penn State University
Southern Methodist University
Baylor University
University of South Carolina

Hopefully that gives ya'll an idea about what schools I'm capable of getting into.
Thanks!
