29 Act

I am just wondering what a 29 on the ACT converts to on the SAT. Every site I look at has a different conversion factor...1900-2050

Also what does a 31 math convert to on the SAT?

Thnx in advance

I use SAT = ACT * 44.4444444 . So a 29 would be a 1290. A 31 would be about a 690 on the SAT math.

ok thnx, my guidence counselor told me a 29 was about a 2050 so I was wondering what others thought

pistolens calculations are not accurate by a few points...

ACT (examination) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A 29 is between 1320-1350 on the old SAT; On the new SAT, it would be 1980-2030

Even collegeboard's comparison has a score of a 29 as 1300

http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/satACT_concordance.pdf

So its safe to say that a 29 = 1300 +

on uc's website, a 31 calculates to a 2100

wikipedia is also reporting a 31 is around 2100-2150

wikipedia inst a good source u should know that by now

Its not like i was basing it strictly on wikipedia

Princeton review has 2040 and About has 2070.

According to the UC stats I linked, the wiki stats seem to be pretty accurate...

each school typically has its own concordance table based on its experience.

the collegeboard table is somewhat old and i would guess that the actual corresponding SAT result is probably higher.

you would also be shocked at the number of schools that will take the highest score from multiple ACT sittings and recalculate a total score--superscore. some only take into consideration the english and math portions.

while it appears to play a large role in a decision making process, it can be somewhat exaggerated. ECs, essays, hs grades, recs all play a major role. Your job, if you're not happy with your ACT score, is to market all the other great attributes you offer and how you'll make a significant contribution to the school. You are much more than a 4/5 hour test.

btw, is a 29 act good enough for ivy leagues.
31 english
32 math
28 reading
23 science??
