hey there guys, i just took the october act, and i got a 29 (32 E, 31 M, 26 R, 25 S)
my sat math score was 760, but my reading and writing scores from the sat were pretty mediocre (worse than the act)
is there any way that one can say that the admissions officers will look at my math from the sat and my reading and writing (english) from the act? (because according to them, they want to see a representation of our maximum potential)
if, with a 3.9 gpa and pretty good ECs, i apply to wharton ED next year, will i have any chance of getting in?

bump please

Although Penn superscores SAT Reasoning Test, I don’t think they even supercore ACT. So, I’d be shocked if they cherry pick SAT and ACT subscores. Anyway, you should just email Penn Admissions and ask. Wharton is very hard to get in, so your chances of getting in isn’t that high. The same, however, can be said for most people. So, as long as you’re realistic about your chances, why not apply?

will being an international athlete help?

(i represent my country’s cricket team, haha)

That will definitely impress Admissions. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to find any Penn coach to lobby for you, as Penn dropped cricket in 1924.

hahahahaha thanks for the second part, i really didnt know about that :P

anyone else?

get a better score on the ACT, get a better score on the SAT, or consider changing ur screen name they wont mix and match from different tests, or superscore the ACT at all. they only superscore SAT

anyone else? :P

I applied this year to Wharton ED with a 29 ACT and got in, so it is possible. Just work really hard on the rest of your application

^are you an urm or athlete?

nope. I’m a white boy with not strong showing in any sports. Hard to believe, but it is true.

You have a slight chance. I was wait listed with a 29 at CAS. I brought it up to a 32, though, so that may help my wait list standing.

i got a 29 ACT, and i got into wharton regular decision, so its definitely possible. i agree w/ what erzepnicki said.

what is it with the 29
