Hi everyone,
I took the ACT in September (as a standby haha) and got a 29 (33E, 27M, 26R, 29S). My writing scores were not posted, so I don't know about that part. Me and a friend of mine are about to start an intensive 3 week preparation for the October 25th one, and so does anyone have any tips for us? My reading went down 5 points (I'm not sure why) but my composite score did go up this last time. I was wondering if it would be possible to get a 32 (what I'm aiming for) with 3 weeks of prep, and seeing my scores, does anyone have some advice to help me raise my scores?

Thanks a bunch!

I went from a 25 to a 31 with no prep, I believe it depends on how your mind is that day. The prep is great, but more importantly, go in there with a well-rested mind and w/e you do, do NOT think of your score while you are taking it.

Improve your math score. It is the easiest section. Get your reading score back up to a 30+ and you should be fine. You need 11 more subsection points to get the 32 so try and find what you can improve the most on and do it.

5 in math and 5 in reading should be fairly easy. The last point or so can be gotten in science. Don't aim for just that though. Aim a little higher to account for mistakes. I think it is entirely possible if you study for the next few weeks.

Yup, that's exactly what happened to me with my first two tests :-) So try it and see.

And then you can jump to a 34, just like me.

OK. Will do. Anyone have any tips for the math section or the reading? My subscores were in Math:
Pre-Algebra/Elem. Algebra 16
Algebra/Coord. Geometry 12
Plane Geometry/Trig. 14

and in Reading:
Social Studies/Sciences 13
Arts/Literature 15

but from the time before, my Reading subscores were:
Social Studies/Sciences 18
Arts/Literature 12

So, what advice do you have for getting my math score up?
