anyone know what average we admits need to maintain??? some said 3.0 uw??? anyone have a clue??

A few B’s are OK, get into the C range and they might complain.

Don’t let your second semester GPA fall more than 0.5 below what your normal GPA is. One of my friends got a bunch of B’s and a C and got a nasty letter from Stanford.

Relax, but keep working at a reasonable pace.

last year we knew of someone who got a C in AP calculus second semester of senior year. She got a letter over the summer telling her she needed to take a year off and retake the class. Therefore, she was home for the last year…brutal!

I got accepted with a 3.8 UW and will potentially get two Bs this semester, does that merit an angry letter?

No, that won’t get you an angry letter, Tigerbaby. And there may have been other factors in the case referred to by rowingparent that resulted in the imposed gap year. No one knows for sure other than that student and the admissions office.

so 4.0—>3.5 is ok, right? (UW)
