Does having 4 A's, One C+, another C ( AP Class), make UCB get your admission from you?? When I calculated the overall GPA It was something around 3.5, and UCB said that it wants overall B average ( which is 3.0 GPA, right??)...So does that mean I could have my 2C's till the end of the year and still be fine??
Thanks for any help!!

You'll be FINE.

I was told by UCB admissions that you need an unweighted gpa of 3.0 in your A-G subjects, senior year...not by semester.

mythreedd, are you sure? Because on the conditions of admissions, it clearly says that it's by term. I'm kind of worried because I have about 5 b's and 1 c. So it would definitely help if it was by year....

From the Conditions of Admission Fall Semester 2007:

"Complete all senior-year courses listed on your application with an overall unweighted B average for each term and no grade lower than a C."

I think Berkeley changed it to each term this year. Probably because most people who apply to Berkeley also applied to other schools which demand first semster senior grades- and thus- those people who apply to Berkeley inevitably have high first semster senior grades and if they just made it all senior year, the first semster grades would probably sink.

For example, if I got a 6 A's first semster (out of a possible of six), they don't want me getting 6 C's second semster and getting away with it.
