Do colleges look at 2nd semester grades or don't?

after graduation you must turn in final transcript which must be reflective of previous work, or else u may be screwed.

But I thought they only see mid-year grades

^Some colleges only require mid-year. Some will want the whole year.

So, yeah, there are definitely people who apply to top colleges, work super hard, get good grades first semester. Then when they get rejected by them in April, they go “screw this” and stops caring about second semester lol because most state colleges don’t look at 2nd semester.

Colleges only consider mid-year grades for admissions; by the time you GET your second semester grades they’ve probably already decided. But every college will require you to send your complete transcripts after you graduate. And if you drop a lot the second semester, they CAN rescind your admission.

<and if=“” you=“” drop=“” a=“” lot=“” the=“” second=“” semester,=“” they=“” can=“” rescind=“” your=“” admission.=“”></and>

See

And if that happens you might end up going to a community college. After May 1st other colleges start ignoring people who knock on their doors shouting, “NOO! Let me in, please! I’ll be your slave!” when your first-choice rescinds you in like June after second semester LOL!!!

how troublesome. and I had been thinking my senior career was over…but I guess it is just half-way there :/

The only school that will see your 2nd semester grades, or care, is the one you decide to attend by May 1st. Yes, mess up 2nd semester and you can be recind.

I care because I care about what I spend my time on. College won’t be a place for me to slack off.
