3.0 Required GPA

Does anyone know if the GPA UCSD requires for senior year is 3.0 each separate semester or both semester combined. For example, if I had a 3.6 fall semester and a 2.8 second semester (no grades below Cs) would I be in trouble?

Also, it's weighted as in AP classes are A-5, B-4, C-3 right?

I'm pretty sure it's combined for UCSD; at least that's the way it's been in the past.

Yes, you get 5 points for getting an A in an AP class.

It's combined and weighted. Avoid Ds.

YES... i can FINALLY stop spazzing out and "release" full senioritis!! =D

lol i can't...i'm in an ap english class right now where the highest grade in the class is like a b-...and most of the class is failing...

Yup....it's 3.0 Weighted. Just no D's and F's and you'll probably be OK

and its only a-g classes right?

that's correct

i'm bumping this thread because i have a question. is there a limit to how many classes you can weigh? I have 5 APs.

It should be net weighted GPA, meaning no limits.

i cant slack off since physics is kinda hard, and if i slack more during calculus ill get a C :(
AP english is a breeze for me though i got a 98%

I'm a transfer student and I had to report an academic change. This is how they responded (it includes information for freshmens):

Dear Applicant:

For freshman, no decisions will be made regarding whether the information in your letter will affect your admission status until your final transcripts have been received with all grades reported.

Please remember that all students must maintain a minimum overall 3.00 grade point average for all A-G college preparatory 12th grade reported coursework. In addition, students must receive a “C” or better in all A-G college preparatory courses taken in senior year.

Please keep us informed of any additional changes to your academic record.

...And then they included some info for transfers.

Hope this helps!
