I'm taking "general principles of psych" in the upcoming summer term, and "elementary stats" + "Social Psychology" for Fall '12.

Since TAG can be completed for only one UC, I'm trying to figure out which UC will most likely admit me (UCSD is out of the realm of possibilities, so that leaves UCR/SC/SB/M/D/I). I'm having difficulties finding admission stats (by major) for UCSB and UCSC.

Thanks!

You need a 3.2 minimum, no less than that, to qualify for SB, Irvine, and Davis TAG.

Ya, sorry. Like lawlking said, you need at least a 3.2 GPA in UC-transferable courses. If you’re sure you’ll have below a 3.2 UC-transferable GPA, then you’ll have to TAG to UCSC, Riverside, or Merced. Also remember that GPA that they will use will include summer, and UCSB and UCI will include Fall as well.

Sorry I forgot to mention that my GPA will be greater than 3.2 at the time of my TAG application.

So back to the issue; which UC will most likely have the greatest interest in me?

Visit the campus and see which one you’ll like. The last thing you want to do is go to a school and realize you absolutely hate it.

I got wait-listed to SD and Irvine with a 3.38 GPA Sociology major. So, admissions are becoming fierce.

If you have all the TAG requirements met and go through the whole TAG process correctly on time, they cannot reject you. So just pick whatever school you want to got to most.
