On the Scripps course catalog, there was a page detailing a 5 year BA/BS in Engieering with Scripps and Harvey Mudd. I was wondering if any of you guys had any experience with the program, if many people did it, general impressions, etc. Thanks in advance!

I don't personally know any Scripps students who've done this, but I did come to Scripps thinking of it as an option. You do have to decide pretty much right off the bat, though, or you'll go crazy trying to fit everything in. I know two other Claremont students who have done 3/2s with HMC...I believe they were both from CMC originally. As far as how most of us view the program, there's not a lot to say. It's not an intensely common thing but I think that consortium-wide, we'll agree that an engineering degree from Mudd in 4 years or 10 is an impressive accomplishment. As for how Mudders view students who come to them as 3/2s, I have no idea.

If it's really something that interests you, you might try calling both HMC and Scripps to see if they have any currently participating students (or the contact info for graduates) who could tell you a little about their experiences.

Good luck!
