3/22 10:40 a.m. EST - Duke's decisions are up online

January 1st

so i thought...well, i guess thats the reason...

Being a programmer, I did some guessing and believe have determined that letters will be available online via this link:

<a href="https://www.admissions.duke.edu/status/letter.asp%5B/url%5D">https://www.admissions.duke.edu/status/letter.asp</a></p>

If you're logged in, access the letter.asp page, and get bounced back to the status page (like I am), then your letter isn't available... yet.

Thought y'all would like to know.

o-k-a-y...im trying to figure out if wat u just told us was something we didnt already kno...

HAHA...Ya, yamalbery, as soon as the letters are posted, there will be a link...us ED kids already went through this...we knew the letter.asp thing as well, and it didnt work until 6 PM, at which time there was already a link...

Wait...Bahamain....if you are only 16...how are you applying to Duke? Are you some kind of super-genius?

Um...no, im a senior in high school, i went through 12 excruciating years of school, just like the rest of you...ill be 17 in May.

Didnt i explain this all before? We Bahamians graduate at the average age of 16.9 years....im actually disappointed that im graduating at 17...i wanted to be 16...too bad.

still, nassua is a very nice place to live. When I visited it was absolutely amazing. but then again, I was a tourist so your experiences as a resident may be different

thats okay, legalpeach, its just when i read that decisions were up, all of my bodily organs jumped out of their place, as you can imagine it was quite the spasm.
anyways, yeah, no decision for me either (RD), i guess i'll just come back April 1st

LOL way to spread mass hysteria giggle

he he, leave legalpeach alone, she was only doing what she thought was right, she was actually be considerate to us...it actually helped me to release some anticipation a bit...hey, u guys must be on the other side of the world cuz its 3 AM here and u guys seem so lively!

it is lively place because we are all night owls

Don't get too excited you guys--

There's no way that your decisions will be posted on the internet prior to the exact time that Duke gives you. Decisions aren't even finalized yet. Last year for RD they had to extend the agonizing wait period one extra day because they weren't entirely completed. It goes down to the wire.

Perhaps this was a mistake. Errors happen. Things can get posted prematurely and posted incorrectly (in Dec '03 a few ED accepted kids were told they were deferred because of a glitch). Therefore, if this was a legitimate post, the decision can be changed within a week. Chances are your decisions won't be accidently posted, because as I said, if this was a legitimate post, Duke will take plenty of safeguards to ensure that no more decisions -- real or not -- will get leaked.

Eh. Ivies' deadlines were around Dec 31st - Jan 4th(Yale extended their deadline to the 3rd or 4th I believe)

I think Duke is an "elite" school so it would make sense for them to have the same decision date as other Ivies. It's not an ivy fo technicality reasons, but it's just as good/better than some of them.

I just wish all schools would let usknow early. My stomach is churning.

Luckily Northwestern lets us know on March 26th.

I have gotten a likely letter of acceptance from Duke and I still don't see any letter link that the OP saw (when I log into my Duke account).

I got accepted officially through a special program and it still doesn't say anything, so...
March 31st is almost here.

what was the special program

hey, did you guys say that if you see the link when you logged in, even though it is not open, it is a good sign?????????

gatechboy- I know for ED they put all the buttons up at the same time...so everyone had one.

scholarship
