Hi, so I've been really concerned about my chances of being admitted to Cal Poly SLO as it is my top choice. I plan on majoring in Computer Science and was wondering whether or not my GPA decimated my chances. My GPA is low because of difficulties (such as parent separation, dysthimia during my Sophmore and Junior year)

I also applied to Cal Poly SLO for computer science. My unweighted GPA is 3.66 and my fully weighted GPA is 4.29. My SAT score is 2300. I was rejected. My GPA decimated my chances. Your GPA is 0.36 points below mine, so your GPA will probably decimate your chances too.

Only chance I see is, you are first to go to college in your family, are non-caucasian, and have all possible bonus points for academics. I agree, choose another 1st choice and apply to some schools that aren’t highly selective.
