3 APs or 4 APs Senior Year???

Senior Year:

AP Calc AB
AP Econ
AP Chem
CSU Expository and Writing
Intro to Engineering

or

AP Calc AB
AP Econ
AP Chem
AP Lit
Intro to Engineering

Would taking Expo instead of AP Lit hurt my chances of being admitted into good colleges?

-Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, Standford, USC, Cal Poly Slo, etc..

Does not taking AP Lit make my senior year drastically less rigorous, to the extent of me not being accepted because of it?

I’m taking 5 and a IB class, good luck

No, it won’t hurt your changes, but colleges do want to see that you’ve taken as much ap classes as you possibly can. I thought lit was an interesting course though!

You can’t really put Stanford and SLO in an “etc. list”. SLO and Santa Barbara won’t mind the lack of AP Lit. But it all depends on your whole application - what are your test scores?
Why are you only taking 5 classes? Do you have a sport or music in the 6th period?

Yeah. I’m on the basketball team and it takes up a lot of time during the fall/winter.

SAT: 1880 (first test); planning to retake this october

SAT 2:
Physics: 580
Lit: 630
Math 2: 680

-Planning to retake all 3 november

I think either English class is okay, it probably won’t make a huge difference. The rest of your application would be the same. You may want to take another year of foreign language though. Most top schools like to see as many years as possible there.
I heard that Physics test was crazy hard.
You may want a few more safety schools on your list. Find some where 1880 would be their top 75%, even if you do get your scores up. If you want to stay in the west, look at WUE schools - out of state but give tuition breaks to kids with good test scores. Washington State, Colorado St, Montana, Boise State, etc.

Thank you very much

AP Spanish won’t be an option. I won’t even survive the first day.

I’ll look for some more safety schools. All I have now is Cal Poly Pomona
