3 essays

So this Michigan essay, is it overdone doing the same topic?

What activity do you prefer?

What group do you belong to?

Why Michigan, what specific school attract you?

Besides being a smart ass and the negative impacts of being one, (my common essay), I am writing about robotics and my passion for engineering and how robots enhance our lives.

Is it too much? I feel like whoever is reading my essays will turn into a machine after the nerdy robots talk. Obviously i will incorporate my usually smart ass to offset the geekiness, but I feel i should reconsider.

Any advice on it? Do people write about the same stuff on all three questions?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

How do your EC’s factor into who you are? If they too are all robotic oriented, then meld the 3 essays into one by having one flow right into the other. If not, don’t be afraid to step out of the box on the “what group” question. Obscure and creative answers can really stand out.

Be careful: They want to learn about you, not about how much you know about your field of interest. Let your answers to the questions help them see where you will fit within their patchwork-quilt student body.

Good luck!
