I got a 3 on the AP World test! I'm not sure how great that even is. Does UMich even accept it? I poured so much into it and it'd be disappointing if it's not even credit. A 3 is supposed to be a passing grade right? I'm a upcoming junior btw.

Sorry to disappoint, but you need a 4 to get credit for that exam.

So I don’t receive any credit at all?

If you are talking about admission, it should have minimal effect if at all. You just would not get any credit if you are matriculated at UMich.

Are you sure there’s not even partial credit? Im not too knowledgeable about AP testing.

Just look at the link from miw140.

@kingkhan11 according to UMich you would get credit for the SAME course if you got a 4 or 5 in European or American History so if you plan on taking one of those courses before you graduate try to get a 4 or 5 on the AP Exam

heartbreaker

Most schools do not give credits for 3 in AP score on most subjects. Some would not even give credit for 4. Just live with it.

You gotta have discipline to bust 4s and especially 5s. “Poured my heart into it” likely means you crammed for a couple of nights but it felt like a lot because everyone else was loafing it at the end of senior year? College is a different animal. I got a 3 also and I’m pretty livid. In retrospect I just didn’t do enough and it’s a reminder that I need to step my game up.

@oliver18 - I studied for 2 months straight for just the test itself. I don’t need your ignorant criticism.
