3 Subject Tests in 1 sitting?

What are the disadvantages of doing this? Is it possible to do this and get > 750 on all of them? (I'm taking quite a few Subject Tests as I'm homeschooled).

It is really tough to achieve your maximum score on the third test when taking 3 in a row. If you can, I would try to avoid taking all 3 in one sitting. If you have to take all 3, take last whatever test you feel you will most likely have to retake anyway so that your stronger tests are not affected by being tired.

i think if you’re really prepared for all three, you shouldn’t really have a problem. if you get a good 9 hours of sleep and eat breakfast and bring snacks, you should definitely have enough “brainpower” left to take the third test with ease.

in fact, i finished my 3rd test, which was Chemistry, 15 mins earlier…
i guessed a lot of people were angry with me cos I kept turning around and distracting them :D

So it’s quite similiar to the SAT (which is 3 hrs and 45 minutes), then, in that you can do fine over a long period of time? And is it best to do science/humanities tests on the same date (e.g. Math/Bio/Chem and then Lit/World History/US History) or mix them up a little?

its like the SAT because three subject tests would take you three hours. but you have a 5 minute break in between each test. and why are you taking 6 of them? just to test yourself?

I’m homeschooled and only have 3 A-levels in Maths and Physics, so I need to demonstrate my well roundedness.

i seeeeeeee

edit, just saw that in ur original post, my bad

For reference, I wish I hadn’t taken 3 in one day… I got really stressed out the day before and tried to spread out my studying/practice tests over too much material and didn’t end up doing as well as I would’ve liked to on ANY of them. Guess that’s what October’s for…

I took three on the same day and it didn’t phase me at. I took them in this order

Math L2 (middle)
Literature (lowest)
US History (highest)

It accurately reflected the amount of preparation I had, not the order I took the tests. Taking 3 subject tests is 45 minutes shorter than taking the SAT and it seemed like there was less administrative time. I was out by 11:30.

In May, I took 3 in this order:

Math 2 (770)
Biology (710)
US History (760)

I think it’s definitely possible to get over 750 on all 3 since I made a lot of stupid mistakes on Bio.

I took all three on the June 6th test date. We’ll see how they turn out (hopefully good!)
I would say it is doable, and I would recommend it if you need your scores quickly for college apps. If you’re like me, however, and want to do it for the convenience, that’s cool too!

I took them in this order:

US History (700)
Physics (780)
Math II (800)

I did that on purpose. I KNOW if I had done USH last my score would have suffered. Do your hard tests first.

It should be fine as long as you’re rested and prepared! I’m doing it too haha.

The 4 hour length of SAT I never phased me at all, that should be why I’m ok with it… just focus on each individual section rather than the whole big 3 hours and it’ll go by easy breezy~

I took my easiest test last. My hardest test 2nd. Although, even after being warmed up I STILL SUCKED at my second one. Grrr… It’s not that long or anything, but if you’re the type that can’t concentrate, then maybe it’s not so good.

I took the SAT IIs a year ago, in june, I took Chem, Math I and Math II, (i don’t know why I took both maths, I just did). I can’t remember what order I took them in exactly, but I’m pretty sure I took Chem first.
It wasn’t that hard, especially ending with Math, because for the math on those tests, you hardly have to think.
Anyways, It is very possible to get over 750 on all three.

Chem: 800
Math I: 720, (I knew I should’ve taken bio or world history)
Math II: 800

what sucks about Math I is that the curve is so freaking hard, I got a higher percentile in math I than Math II.

what books did you use for chem 800ers?

I definitely did the longer SAT just fine, but I ultimately decided against taking 3 in a row. If I had taken 1 at a time I never would’ve finished all my tests. I took 4 SAT IIs; I did 2 1 1

Pokemon:

I just used my AP chem prep book, PR. It covers stuff that is not on the SAT II, but it’s still good. The questions on the chem SAT II are way easier than the ones on AP Chem.

hi,
i am going to give USH, phy, chem and maths 2 this october. Does CB provide the option of giving 4 tests over two days? cuz giving them in one day would be very difficult.
