3 weeks after submission....no email or anything

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I had applied Rice for ED (due nov 1st) and have not heard anything from the university. I called them like 5 min ago but the admin said they are having "technical difficulties" or "system is down" and that they can't check right now. I have also heard that I am supposed to get ID and PIN to access sort of web-check on my application status (I did not get one so I emailed riceapp as the admin told me to do so).</p>

<p>Am I in a big trouble? I mean, Rice clearly downloaded my stuff on common app and if there was any stuff missing, I should have got an email about it. I did get a SPAM (however you call it) mail about Rice/Baylor program so it cannot be blocked.</p>

<p>I completed my application over a month before the deadline and haven't heard anything either. As far as we know no one has heard from Rice... there is a thread about this further down the page.</p>

<p>that's really weird...i got an email on november 17th with my pin stuff and i checked and it says that my teacher eval is missing but i know that got sent through common app and was received according to c.a....so yeah maybe technical stuff is going craaaazy :/</p>

<p>yeah, I was wondering the same. When I called them, they said there would be an email but there wasnt. When I called back, there was no mention of any email and she told me my application was "completed." When I spoke to Alexis, it was already read but still no email. She said I will get one Dec 15 notifying my of admit/deny.</p>

<p>yeah i read some posts related to my problem and it seems most of CCers have not gotten anything from Rice...although some of my friends did get PIN a long time ago.</p>

<p>so they dont even send emails if they are missing stuff?? so far I did not have any trouble with other EA/priority schools...</p>

<p>anyways, I am going to call them tomorrow morning. It did sound like they can do a quick check on my app status.</p>

<p>i figured it out! well..maybe :/ i think the people with things missing (like my teacher eval) get emails and the ones that are completely okay just get the admit/deny email on dec 15?</p>

<p>I recently got an email with PIN...but there is absolutely NOTHING on the webcheck page...which leads me to believe that this webcheck is mostly likely to be used for not appcheck but FAcheck XP...</p>

<p>To the best of my knowledge no one will get any online verification until December 15th. Even then, they might email you or send you some mail first.</p>

<p>well today I got an email with the status check as others have also. I wonder why the disparity in time between those who get them and those who dont.</p>

<p>umm, that's odd, maybe you should call them and ask? I would double check first though.</p>

<p>Look at the bottom of the page and click on "Application Requirement". Application check page will show up.</p>

<p>geez, why can't they just put it on the same page...</p>
