I just feel like 36=really good score.
The 2400=bomb drop.
2400= Sorta like saying “I went to Harvard.”
vs
36= “I went to (lesser ivy)”
Just me tho.

What goes through your head when you meet someone with the scores?
“That’s a great score!”

How much weight do you think these scores carry w/ adcoms?
Scores are definitely an important part of an application, but they are not the only consideration. I don’t think there’s a way to determine it’s weight, though, since most top schools practice a holistic admissions process. A perfect score alone would not be enough to get into any of the tippy-top schools, but it would help.

Which do you think is “better”?
A 2400 is better than a 36 simply because much fewer people get 2400’s/it is more difficult to get. I think 2400 definitely has more of a “wow” factor than a 36 for the same reasons. Both are obviously amazing scores, though, and the difference is probably negligible.

What would you do if you got it?
I would be very happy.

What goes through your head when you meet someone with the scores?

Oh man, can we trade?

How much weight do you think these scores carry w/ adcoms?

Impressive but not a definite acceptance into top ranked schools.

Which do you think is “better”?

2400 since fewer people with it.

Collegeboard: 0
Me: 1

(although they do have my money from the test fee. Still, pretty worth it)

What goes through your head when you meet someone with the scores?
Probably smarter than me.

How much weight do you think these scores carry w/ adcoms?
About as much as a 4.0 GPA.

Which do you think is “better”?
A 2400, since you can get 35s on two ACT sections or 34 on one and still get a 36.

What would you do if you got it?
Not give as much attention as I should to my grades.

What goes through your head when you meet someone with the scores?
They’re good test takers.

How much weight do you think these scores carry w/ adcoms?
Enough to get you admitted at lesser universities, and put your foot in the door at the Ivies.

Which do you think is “better”?
2400 since it’s harder to get.

What would you do if you got it?
I patted myself on the back for my 36 and got over it in a day.

“What goes through your head when you meet someone with the scores?”

legit overachiever

What goes through your head when you meet someone with the scores?
Wow, that’s amazing…can I have your score?

How much weight do you think these scores carry w/ adcoms?
Ehh depends on the school.

Which do you think is “better”?
I would take the 2400.

What would you do if you got it?
Start screaming.

I’m like…whoa!

What goes through your head when you meet someone with the scores?

This is someone who is good at taking multiple choice tests.

How much weight do you think these scores carry w/ adcoms?

Just the same as your high school GPA (take as you wish).

Which do you think is “better”?

Obviously a 2400 is harder to get because you need 3 perfect 800s, but you can still get a 36 with (35,35,36,36) where you could get as many as 3-4 wrong. Both impressive though.

What would you do if you got it?

Be very proud of myself and move on.
