36 ACT, Should I send SAT scores too

Hello,
I recently received my multiple choice scores for the April ACT. I got a 36 composite and I was wondering if I should submit SAT scores in addition to my ACT. Since there is no way for me to top my ACT is it even worth submitting SAT scores, and if so at what cutoff would it be worth sending SAT scores.

Without knowing the breakdown of ACT and SAT, it is not possible to define whether you are filling any gaps.

For example if you scored 34 in Math and still got 36 and have an 800 in SAT, it is filling a gap.

Some schools also specify that scores for all tests taken should be submitted.

35 English
36 Math
36 Science
36 Reading
If I get an 800 on my SAT writing is it worth sending that score even if my SAT reading/math are not 800s?

No, unless those scores are required for admission.

Sending the SAT is pointless if you have a 36. Don’t do it unless the college specifically wants it.

CONGRATS!!!

Congrats on your score! Ditto to what outlooker said. It’s not worth it to send the SAT, since you already have a 36 .

Wow!! Nice job!!

If you haven’t yet taken SAT, I wouldn’t bother by the way…

Are the schools you are applying to requiring the SAT subject tests? Are you likely to be a national merit semi finalist and will you be applying to schools where this will matter? If you are taking SAT IIs and you are reporting them, and your SAT is strong, there is no harm in having it included. But you don’t need to report it. My DS#1, back in the days of the 1600 SAT (which we are soon to see again) got a 1570. He also happened to have gotten a 34 ACT but did not report it as his SAT was stronger.
