39 IB Points (Total) = Instant Rejection?

<p>Would Harvard even bother to look at the rest of my application with only 39 Predicted IB Points?</p>

<p>I've been told their range is 40+...</p>

<p>Well, no - it’s not an instant rejection. They take students with that- esp if you have something else that is really dazzling. Having invented something that is already patented, being nationally ranked in a sport they care about, having published primary research- those sorts of things would make up for an iB score on the lower end. </p>
