3rd SAT subject test???

I’m applying to colleges this year, and plan on majoring in history. The schools that I am applying to are columbia, duke, princeton, bowdoin, haverford, pomona, ucberkely, ucla, amherst, hamilton, wustl, hopkins, cornell. These schools only require two, but I was told three is better.
My results:
Bio(E) 800
US History (800)

If I were to take one more it would most likely be math 2. I got a 760 in math on the sat, but I have heard that math 2 can be difficult.

Math 2 isn’t hard as the curve is extremely favorable. It’s unlikely a third subject test will make the differences in your acceptances though.

so do you suggest not even taking the math then?

If a school requires 2, they will look at your best 2. Since you have 2 800’s (congrats BTW), taking a third is just a waste of time and money. You are far better off spending the time on other parts of your application, like your essays.

Don’t bother with math.

@skieurope Thanks for the info!
