3rd Year Language Special Circumstances

I took 2 years of Japanese and didn't take the 3rd year at school because I was planning to take 3rd year over summer at local community college. However, they didn't offer it that year due to budget costs. I didn't take a 3rd year at my school because it would eliminate my chances of being in the Top Five, so I took an additional AP class.

I'm afraid this would look very bad on my Common Application but I have stated that the local community college didn't offer the class.

Should I put something down that I'm going to take Japanese 3rd year when the winter/spring schedules come out? Or is it pointless because I won't have the credit for 3rd year officially recorded on my transcript when I submit the application?

Many schools recommend or require more language than you have taken, so it is in your best interest to note on the application your intent to continue your studies.
