3x the death knell???

I've taken the SAT's twice now, in january and may. In jan., i got 740-740-660(DAMN). I really have no clue as to what i got this time around. I'm taking subject tests in june.

My question is: If I take it again before applying to colleges, is it sure demise to take the SAT's three times and still go to a top-tier school? If it comes to it, it could be a major decision.

Not sure demise, but what else are you doing to strengthen your application, and exactly which top-tier schools are you talking about?

Like Ivy League. I'm well rounded and my SAT scores are my weak point, considering my circumstances. I posted in the chances thing a while back.

The Ivy League is eight schools (Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Yale). To which one, or set of these are you applying?
I had 710-770-700 and was still admitted to Cornell, but there were other factors in my application. I am sure you have other factors as well, some even required (i.e. essays and recommendations).
