<p>I was reviewing the Princeton Review site, I noticed they have a 4.00 GPA conversion chart. Is this conversion chart the same as used by many universities, or is there another conversion used.</p>

<p>Welcome to CC! Colleges use a variety of methodologies to convert the information on the student transcript into something vaguely consistent. For example, they may turn everyone's GPA into unweighted, or everyone's GPA into weighted, or use a special system where some classes are weighted (the UC's), or 'just kind of look at the transcript'. </p>
<p>The PR site offers a starting point, but should be used with caution.</p>
