4.23 WGPA 28ACT ..please look at my list..looking for more safety schools

Here is my current list of schools. I am looking for suggestions as I am considering dropping 1 or 2 and adding a true safety school or 2... both for acceptance and affordability.

It would be a bonus if I can find a school that superscores the ACT ... that would mean my composite would go up to 30.

U of South Carolina - applied EA *safety
Penn State - applied priority

Rutgers * I believe this is a safety
Pittsburgh applying to these by Nov1 - apps just being proofread now
Clemson
Maryland

Delaware
Virginia Tech all on the horizon for Jan 1
Boston U

Looking for your suggestions :) Thanks!

post your unweighted GPA. weighted means nothing.

What state are you in? How much will your parents pay?

unweighted = 3.69

our school reports weighted but will report both if requested to do so.

NJ is my home state and no more that $40,000 … and thats kinda pushing it.

Also may be helpful to know rigor of schedule = 9 honors/AP, 4 yrs math, 4 yrs science

APUSH = 4
taking 2 now: AP Bio and Psych

Here are some of the schools that superscore the ACT:

[Colleges that super score ACT | College Admissions Counseling](Colleges that superscore the ACT - BS/MD Admissions by College Admissions Partners)

Have you looked at the Jesuit schools? Loyola (Baltimore) Providence, Fairfield? Also JMU and Mary Washington in Virginia are both beautiful schools.

what are you planning to major in?

You should definitely keep Clemson on your list. I’m a student there so let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for the suggestions …

Looked at Loyola, and it’s very pricey plus too small. Would prefer a big school atmosphere.

Not sure what my major will be … kind of tossing around Psychology/Cognitive Science, Marketing, Accounting or Graphic Design … quite a variety, huh?!

Pierre - I will most llikely have questions :slight_smile: Submitted my app last night !

Why don’t you look at some schools that don’t require the ACT or SAT like Connecticut College, Bowdoin, Franklin and Marshall, etc.
