4-month traveling classroom to Europe

I am planning on attending a 4-month "traveling" classroom that stays in many European countries. The program travels to London, Berlin, Paris, Verona, Lyon, San Sebastian, and the Pyrenees. We will stay on average 2 weeks per location, with 2 weeks independent travel at the end. I was originally traveling alone, but after I told two of my good friends about the program, they insisted on joining me.
I am purchasing a 3-month Global Eurail pass that can go to 21 countries: Countries Eurail Global Pass Map and List

I'm a computer science major taking this program as a Sophmore in college. I'm taking a geology course, contemp. europe course, intro to theatre, and history of film. This is my first time being outside of the USA. Primary language is English, and know some Spanish.

I'm bringing a 10" Asus netbook that has 9.5 hours battery life. Anything I should know about conversions in the various countries?

I'm bringing about 4K of "pocket money" for my own activities. The program costs about 10k for tuition, round trip air, 2/3rd of housing and meals, eurail pass, etc.

I'd like to possibly visit Amsterdam, Austria, Denmark, Greece, Norway, Romania and/or Sweden. These are just places out of my own interest.

Any recommendations for places to visit? Sights to see? Shows to watch? Things to know? Experience? Clubs? protips?
