So my school offers Latin 1-4/5 with no AP option. Freshman year I started with Latin 2 and by junior year will have taken 4/5. The course content rotates every other year so if I were to take it senior year there would be new information to learn, but still be somewhat remedial from what I had learned the year before. Instead of taking a fourth year of Latin I would rather take AP Physics as a second science or take AP micro and macro econ. My question is if colleges would look down on taking just 3 years of a language?

Maybe you could try to self-study for the AP in Latin?

Unfortunately I could never do that. Our Latin program is mediocre at best. The only thing I know is vocabulary and even if I studied very hard the absolute best I think I could get would be a 2.

Oh hmm.. Well, I'm not an expert (I'm an international myself), but I'd say that three years of Latin would be sufficient, I think the science requirements are more important anyway..

Good luck!

Here is a concept: take the one you have more interest in!
