oh, but we are, Kebree. But we are...

And you haven't seen a coffee-drinking maniac 'til you've seen me run loose at Barnes & Noble. Now that's a sight to see...

Does Princeton, NJ even have a Barnes & Noble?
Heheh, just wondering...

Let's see how many restaurants we can list:
1. Alchemist & Barrister's
2. Bagel & Sushi (we got rained in there...what fun)
3. Starbucks (duh)

i know they have a Panera

i love panera.

I've heard so much about how great Panera, so I'm intrigued. Will it live up to the hype? Tune in next time...but for all I've heard, I've never found out what it is. Any takers?

I love Panera too...good stuff...like a starbucks and a cinnabon rolled in to one, except better..

and much, MUCH bigger...(though Princeton's may not be, lol)

Ooh coffee!

I actually really liked the food at Frist.

hoagie haven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They definitely have a J.Crew, right across from campus. How sweet is that? (I guess the question really is, are there any other J.Crew-philes on this board besides myself?)

There's this one really good pancake place right by campus, too; we ate brunch there when my family make the quintessential Eastern college tour and it was sooo tasty. :)

That's funny you mentioned J. Crew...this guy I met at Harvard said he hated Princeton the minute he stepped on campus: "Everyone said it was preppy, and then the first thing I saw was a J. Crew...that confirmed it beyond all doubt." Talk about catering to the stereotype. (He's applying EA to Yale, I think.)

Ehh I'm wearing a grosgrain ribbon in my hair and still have my pearls on, I can't really say anything. The preppiness stereotype was definitely a plus for me, yeah....

That's such a good story, though, and it's true - part of the reason I disliked Brown, I think, was that the students didn't seem warm and welcoming (and part of the reason they didn't seem that way probably was because I thought their clothes were drab. I mean, I didn't conciously take that into account but it probably played a role).

j. crew isnt that preppy? haha. they are good sandals for girls to slip in the rain :-D

oh, man, they are definitely hardcore prep if you wear it right - argyle cardigans? embriodered cordoroys? plaid kilts? they practically outfit my entire school, but yeah, they definitely have some questionable stuff that just makes you shake your head

are you talking about the rubber platform flops? i definitely have pulled a hallway feet slide from underneath me in those!!

what would you define as "really preppy"?

what can i do to not set myself up for a huge disappointment? i think im going crazy.

Crazy as in you can't stop thinking about Princeton, or crazy as in you (for some reason) are doubting your chances?

both!!!!! and i just don't know how to live these 45 days. arg..

I know, I think all of us feel like that to at least some extent. I know I do. I'm just trying to think of other things...I think I'll try to cut down on Princeton.edu website time (and maybe even CC time). It will actually come quite fast...faster than you might think...if you don't think about your application constantly. One thing I would not recommend is spending a lot of time looking back over your essays/application materials...it can't do anything good.

45 days seems like an eternity, but it's really not that long.

Princeton has the best hotdogs, oh my god.

so, you finished your essays then? How did they go?

wow, today we'll [hopefully] know who the next prez is...scary thought...

and if its george bush, i will commit suicide the moment they call it.
