haha, nice call =)
I'm actually going to England on Jan. 20th in case Kerry's elected.

you can't commit suicide 'cause then if you get into Pton you'll have to watch the letter arrive to your house from a vantage point in hell ('cause suicide is a deadly sin), and then watch someone else get your spot when your parents respectfully call up Pton and say they're very sorry but you can't attend 'cause you're dead. (I'm really procrastinating on my hw now......lol)

At least you'll have died for a 'noble' cause, haha.
Maybe I should "hope" Nader wins...that'd cure us of the polarity problem for sure.

I'm going to London next weekend!

I will either
a)be celebrating with the rest of the world
or
b)weeping with them, asking for citizenship, and applying to Oxford.

My flight was only $300!

when/where did you buy the tickets for your flight?

American Airlines, good deal.

Thats the only reason I'm going, I have off for vets day so I'm taking a day off from school and doing a 4 day thing.

I've been all over Europe, but never London!

London is amazing. I would spend the first day just walking around and seeing the sights...then the British Museum, the Nat'l Gallery, St. Pauls', Westminster Abbey, Madame T's, Greenwich Village, etc., are all worth a look...wow, I'm gushing :)
If you haven't been to Oxford or Cambridge, it might be worth a day trip; Oxford's only an hour by express rail (if they still offer it) and it's easy to get around.

Oh, and see the Cabinet War Rooms in London..they were left completely intact, it's incredible.

i dint know the ED decision date is a fixed one...i thought it was anytime early december...oh god then there is a d-day!

London is amazing, you'll have a marvelous time! And Oxford is gorgeous; I totally wanted to apply there but my mum put a kibosh on the "running away to England" thing. So I applied to quite an excellent alternative. (My father basically called me out on it - "the Oxford of America")

ilcapo235, I actually want Bush to win. It's not that I particularly like him, but I just extremely dislike Kerry. Although Bush is a complete clown.

Gracilisae -

Please please please rent "Going Upriver: The Long Journey of John Kerry"

Maybe it doesn't appeal to everyone, but I think that what John Kerry did about Vietnam is basis for a vote alone!

I'll check it out, thanks for the suggestion.

I guess another problem I have with voting for Kerry is my personal distaste for the Democratic party, though, so I don't think any video will solve that.

I can't believe the election is today!! How many of us can vote?

I can't, I missed it by two months. Le sigh.

I voted today! It was fun, but you'd think they'd have more sophisticated system by now..big stupid lever. And I didn't really know who I was voting for for state senate and such, so I just went down a column and flicked everything.

Today definitely goes high up on my "Best Days of My Life" list, despite the fact that the grippe has me. Voting was just...amazing. It was incredible. Who knew that something so simple (yet not) could bring such intense pleasure to my day? Wow...

Are we supposed to wait patiently for the mailed decision to come or call on Dec 15th?
How long will it take for them to mail the decision?

They mailed on the 12th last year...it takes a certain amount of time to reach you based on where you live.

and it will only reach me in... January? (I'm Indonesian, btw.)

argh....just wanna get it over with.....all the waiting.....so frustrated....

I know but we're down to 40 days.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Tomorrow begins the 30's. Wow. Good times. Sad times. Anxious times. bites nonexistent nails
